New Balance's "9BOX" series has been developing collections in collaboration with artists who are sweeping the times, with the theme of "Sports x Art". Among them, the most popular collaboration item was with the globally popular animation "Ghost in the Shell SAC_2045". The long-awaited second installment will be released.
Once again, the worldview of the work, which fits the policy of New Balance's brand platform "Fearlessly Independent" (= forging ahead without fear of originality), has been made into graphics and developed into T-shirts and tote bags. The main character Motoko Kusanagi, her Public Security Section 9, and the AI tank Tachikoma are featured as completely original items with illustrations by Ilya Kuvshinov.
Don't miss the special fashion shooting visuals from "9BOX" x "Ghost in the Shell" that give you a glimpse into a new side of the characters.

The cover features Motoko and the AI tank Tachikoma posing in front of New Balance Harajuku. The original "Public Security Section 9 x 9BOX" T-shirt is the main focus of the outfit, making it cool. The seldom seen casual T-shirt style looks mature when finished with black. Even if you're not a fan, Motoko and Section 9, who usually wear combat or military uniforms, are stylishly dressed in casual and sporty New Balance T-shirts, making it worth a look.
The night view of Miyashita Park, a symbolic park in Shibuya, which has been transformed by redevelopment. On either side of Motoko are Batou and Togusa from Public Security Section 9. And Tachikoma. The well-built Batou and the slender Togusa are both wearing items from the "9BOX" collection in their own way.
