The CM996 is the first to feature GORE-TEX®, which has excellent waterproof properties that keep the inside of the shoe dry even on rainy days, and the synthetic suede/mesh upper is presented in New Balance's legacy colors that are easy to match with a variety of outfits.

カラーリングは綺麗ですし、防水性能も申し分ありません。ゴアテックス素材のため多少のカサつきがありますが、フィッティングもまずまず良好です。ただ、届いた個体は縫製やスエードの端などに仕上げの粗い部分が見受けられました。決して安い靴ではないので、残念といえば残念です。でも、細部の瑕疵は使ううちに気にならなくなるものですし、実用性においては無敵のスニーカーなので、躊躇わずにヘビーユーズしていこうと思います。

思った以上に軽く、雨専用というのでなく普段使いできるのが嬉しいですね。
若干幅細の印象で、普段履いている靴よりもツーサイズ上でちょうどよかったです。
