New Balance and its global ambassador, Jaden Smith, have announced a new "Up in the Clouds" color variation of their signature footwear, 0.01 (Zero Point Zero One), which launched in October 2023, in two earth tones inspired by sand and sky.
Combining understated design with boldness, MSFTSrep (short for Misfits/MSFTS Republic)'s second signature shoe features a low-top classic court upper that sits atop an oversized midsole and outsole.
Created in collaboration with Jaden Smith's fashion label, MSFTSrep, the MSFTSrep x New Balance 0.01 features proportions inspired by the Fibonacci sequence and sacred geometry, fusing classic style with contemporary design.
The new “Up in the Clouds” color variation features a textured pale light blue gradient and the illusion of a brushstroke-like texture reminiscent of the skies in Renaissance paintings.
Jaden Smith said:
"These shoes are inspired by nature, specifically the beach.
It's where two worlds meet: the sand on the ground and the clouds in the sky.
The texture of the shoe is inspired by Florentine Renaissance paintings from the 1700s.
This collaboration shows that imagination and dreams are the driving forces behind change in the world."
