What is the New Balance Championship?
The tournament is aimed at the U-16 development age group and will see 32 of the country's top teams participate.
This tournament was started in 2016 with the desire to provide a forum for serious competition for high school soccer players aiming to further their development.

Yaita Chuo High School went undefeated in seven matches and won its first championship, topping 32 teams nationwide.
The team's young energy was in full swing, emboldened by their characteristically solid defense and unified team play.
Yaita Chuo midfielder Tanaka Haruki was selected as the tournament MVP.
At the New Balance try-on area within the tournament venue, participants were also able to try on the new 442 football spikes, which were introduced this year.
