The "MT580" was an improved version of the Made in USA "M585" that New New Balance released as a trail running model in 1995, and was released in 1996 as a pioneer of trail running models, attracting a lot of attention on the Japanese street scene.
The latest exclusive model from mita sneakers, the MT580 "OG COMBO," has been redesigned with a color scheme that mixes the two original colors from 1996, a voluminous tongue and lining, and the signature "CHAIN LINK FENCE" and "Tokyo Kai" graphics on the insole.
Paying homage to this classic model that retains its presence no matter how times change, mita sneakers, who know the MT580 inside and out, have put their heart and soul into creating this ambitious work, paying particular attention to every last detail.
The midsole is equipped with the "ROLLBAR" that was installed at the time and provided stability.
The last has been changed to New Balance 's standard "SL-1" last, giving the shoe a slimmer impression than previous "580" models.
The color scheme, which mixes original colors, gives off a vintage feel.

この品番に熱狂し、当時mita別注モデルが出る度に買い漁っていた自分には買い逃せなかった一足です。
発売当時の2つのオリジナルカラーをミックスした配色や、ボリューム感のあるタンとライニングを再現している等、
580を知り尽くしているmita sneakersのこだわりが随所に見られます。
ただ、このこだわりの厚いタンやライニングでサイズ感が難しく、マイサイで購入しましたが幅広甲高の自分には若干キツ目に感じました。
カラーリングはOGカラーをうまくミックスさせた絶妙な配色で、一目で「580」と分かるカラーが自分的にはどストライクでした。

思い切った色使いで、秋冬にぴったりのデザインだと思います。
思ったよりちょっと重さを感じましたが、逆にしっかりした作りで、安心して履けそうです。
ややスリムは確かですが、普段のサイズでぴったりでした。
秋の旅行に履いて、おしゃれを満喫したいと思います！
