The Fresh Foam midsole provides outstanding cushioning for long, comfortable walks and has been adapted for walking, and combined with the CR counter in the heel, it ensures even greater stability.
The outsole, which assists in natural walking by using the entire sole of the foot from the moment the shoe hits the ground, is designed with slip resistance, durability, and flexibility in mind.

ウォーキングを始めて１年以上が経過し、約６か月・約1,000キロ歩行で２足ともフォアヘッド部分が摩耗してツルツルになってしまい、ウォーキングシューズ国内販売１０年連続ＮＯ．１のニューバランスの購入を検討。
直営店に出向くも、ウォーキングシューズの取り扱いは無しとの事に驚くも、MR993GＬのデザイン・履き心地に感動して購入。
993は本当に素晴らしい履き心地だが、毎日のウォーキング使用には勿体無いと思い、880をオンラインショップで購入。
993のようなクッション性と安定性と接地感の絶妙なバランスはないものの、ソフトな履き心地でペガサス４０から反発性を抑えた感じで脚に優しい。個人的にはもう少し安定感が欲しいと感じる。
品質はそこそこだが、993の三分の一の価格なのでコスパ最後なのでガシガシ履けそう。
もう少し履いてソールのフォアヘッド部分の摩耗の仕方を確認し、納得したら８８０ＧＴＸか2002RＧＴＸを雨用に購入予定。

店頭ではなくオンラインで購入しましたが990v5やv6とデザインやカラーが統一されてます。990はおでかけ用、こちらは毎日のウォーキング用です。軽くてクッションも良いので気に入りました。価格も990よりずっと安いので気軽に履けます。
