The 990v4 is released with a full leather upper, a luxurious take on sport heritage style.
New Balance's signature 990 series was launched in 1982 as an on-road running shoe.
Developed using the latest technology, it was released for $100, a very expensive price at the time.
It became a hot topic when its advertisements at the time boasted that it achieved "990 points out of a maximum of 1000," and it has since continued to evolve through 14 generations, with the 995, 996, 997, 998, 999, 990, 991, 992, 993, 990v3, 990v4, 990v5, and 990v6.
The original 990v4 model was released in 2016.
This popular model uses the ENCAP structure made of PU and ACTIVA LITE, and is renowned for its excellent support and cushioning, comfortable fit, and sharp silhouette.

購入翌々日に早速履いて歩いてみて、v4も快適と思いました。最新ver.のv6ほど軽くはないですが、ほどよい軽さは十分です。クッションもここちよいです。
アッパーがオールレザーなので、すぐ履きジワはできますが、履くほどに自分の足型になじみ、表面もかすれたり傷がついたりエイジングの味が出てくるのが楽しみです。
カラーは好みがあると思います。個人的にはもっと青みが強い方がよいなという感じです。
