The innovative new model "WRPD Runner" that was released in the summer of 2023 combines lifestyle and running technology, and combines fashion and conceptual design in a balanced way. A new color with a combination upper of high-quality suede and mesh based on a pale gray color has been released. The upper follows New Balance's iconic running design and adopts an oval shape that is a futuristic interpretation of the retro running model. The midsole uses FuelCell, which has excellent rebound elasticity. In addition, a high-hardness material is installed on the inside of the midfoot, and a medial stability post is used to prevent the shoe from collapsing inward when landing, providing a sense of stability. It also features a soft shape with an exaggerated crash pad design on the heel. The warped outsole design that wraps around the midsole has a unique wavy tread pattern.

"WRPD Runner" was inspired by pushing the limits of traditional New Balance lifestyle silhouettes and deliberately distorting the iconic design. It incorporates modern running technology from lifestyle shoes and the highly elastic midsole "FuelCell", fusing them together while incorporating modern, traditional designs and futuristic elements. The sculpted and exaggerated non-traditional looks and silhouettes express something familiar while being a completely new concept.
