Notes on using myNB for student (formerly Student Club Activities Support Program)

*From March 2021, the name of the "Student Club Activities Support Program" has been changed to "myNB for student."
If you register with myNB for student and are approved as a student member (hereinafter referred to as "Student Member"), you may use the following services (hereinafter referred to as "Student Services") on our online store.

myNB for student Service Contents

  • Free shipping on all items
  • Free return shipping and handling fees (please see the end of this page for information on returns)

*This service applies only to our online store.

Target people (conditions)/registration application/prohibited matters

In order for a customer to register with myNB for student and use this student service as a student member, all of the following conditions must be met.

  • Must be registered as a myNB member (*1)
  • Applicants must be under 25 years of age and be enrolled in a high school, university, junior college, graduate school, or vocational school in Japan (※2)
    In order to prove that you meet these conditions, you will need to upload a photo of your student ID when you apply to register for myNB for student. Specifically, you will need to upload a student ID that shows the following items:
    1. full name
    2. school name
    3. date of expiry
    *Uploaded images will be deleted one week after registration as a student member.
    *Please edit the areas where other personal information is listed so that they are not displayed.
  • You agree to receive email information on special offers and campaigns exclusive to student members.
  • If you are a minor, you must have the consent of your parent or guardian (※3)

After the customer applies for myNB for student registration, our company will decide whether to approve the application at our discretion (*4). Our company reserves the right to refuse myNB for student registration application or cancel the registration (cancellation of student membership) after registration. In addition, our company may request the submission of documents proving your qualifications as a student member (according to the above conditions). If you are unable to prove that you meet the above conditions, we may request that you return or refund the student services you received under myNB for student. myNB for student is not available for corporate use or for commercial, business, or resale purposes. myNB for student can only be used with one account per person. Furthermore, the student membership of myNB for student or the contents of this student service cannot be transferred or transferred.

  • (※1) If you cancel your myNB membership, if your myNB service usage is suspended, or if your membership registration is cancelled, you will not be able to use the Student Service.
  • (※2) Eligible institutions are high schools, universities, graduate schools, and junior colleges established by national university corporations, public university corporations, school corporations, and school establishment companies, as well as high schools, universities, and junior colleges established by the state, independent administrative institutions, special corporations, and prefectures, as well as Japanese campuses of foreign universities designated by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, and high schools, universities, and junior colleges located within U.S. military bases in Japan.
  • (※3) Members under the age of 20 may not use the Student Services without the consent of their parent or guardian.
  • (*4) We will approve your application by sending you a registration confirmation email. Even if you are unable to receive the registration confirmation email due to spam filters, etc., we will not resend the registration confirmation email to you, so please set up the following domain-designated reception settings in advance.
    1. If you are using domain-specific reception, please set "@newbalance.jp" as the designated reception.
    2. Effects of spam filters: If the spam filter's spoofing restriction level is set to a high level, you may not be able to receive emails.

date of expiry

We will set the expiration date for myNB for student.
The period for using the myNB for student service varies depending on the academic year.
Please note that unless you cancel your membership before the end of your usage period, you will automatically be converted to a standard membership.

Withdrawal

If you wish to cancel your myNB for student membership (including if you are no longer eligible for myNB for student within the validity period), please contact the customer care of this online store. If you cancel your myNB for student membership, you will no longer be able to use this student service.

Suspension of service/cancellation of qualifications

If the customer (i) violates laws, regulations, these notes, or other terms established by the company (including myNB Membership Terms and Conditions of Service) or guidelines, (ii) false information is provided in the myNB for student registration application. (iii) If it is found that you are no longer eligible for myNB for student, (iv) If you have committed any misconduct regarding the use of this student service, (v) ) If you withdraw from myNB membership, or if you are subject to suspension of use of myNB services or if your membership registration is canceled, (vi) If we determine that you have infringed on the rights and interests of our company or other customers, ( vii) If we determine that you are inappropriate as a student member of the Student Service, we will suspend your use of the Student Service, cancel your myNB for student qualifications, or take other necessary measures without prior notice. It shall be possible to do so. We will not be held responsible for any damage caused to you as a result of this.

Changes to service content

We may, at our discretion, change these Terms and Conditions (including the content of the myNB for student service) by notifying the student member in a manner that we deem appropriate, without obtaining prior consent from the student member. In the unlikely event that these changes are deemed illegal, invalid, or unenforceable for any reason, other valid and enforceable changes or conditions will not be affected. If you continue to register as a member of myNB for student after we change these Terms and Conditions, you will be deemed to have agreed to the changes. Please note that if you do not agree to the changed Terms and Conditions, you will be required to cancel your myNB for student membership.

Return procedures by Student Members under this Student Service

Products purchased from our web shop can be returned as long as they are unused and you contact us within 14 days, including the date of delivery, according to the return method below.

Please note that the following items cannot be returned:

  • Products for which 15 days or more have passed including the date of arrival of the product
  • If the product becomes soiled while in the customer's possession (if the product becomes soiled, dirty, or scratched, or if sweat or odor has adhered to it)
  • Products that have been used (shoes worn outside, socks that have been tried on or opened, shoelaces, etc.)
  • If the item is returned in a condition that is significantly different from the condition it was delivered in (e.g., the tag, shoe box, or bag containing the item is missing or damaged)
  • Special order items, limited edition items
  • Team discount applicable items
  • Products with "non-returnable" written on the product page

Return Policy

*As the shoe box is also part of the product, we cannot accept returns if the shipping label is attached directly to the shoe box. Please use the outer box when the product arrives.

STEP 1. Customer contacts us by email or phone

Please contact Customer Care by email or phone within 14 days of receiving the product with the following details:
Once we have confirmed your order, we will send you a return confirmation email.

  • Order number, name, product you wish to return, reason for return, customer email address

STEP 2. Fill out the return card or contact card and return it.

Please return the item within 5 days after receiving the return confirmation email.
After checking the return confirmation email, please return the returned product together with the "Return Card (Contact Card)" by cash on delivery. Please note that due to cash on delivery, please use "Yamato Transport" to return the item.
When filling out the return card (contact card), please enter the reason for return number listed on the return card (contact card).

STEP 3. After receiving the product, process the refund

Once we have confirmed the product you have returned, we will process your refund.
We will contact you via email once the refund procedure is complete.
