The "FuelCell Rebel", designed with the concept of lightweight and resilience to support high-speed running, has been updated to V4.
The midsole uses FuelCell with PEBA, which not only makes it lighter but also improves rebound elasticity.
In addition, the fit of the forefoot has been improved, and the shape is designed to provide a better rolling sensation and better foot movement.
The FANTOMFIT structure of the upper provides a more stress-free fit and comfortable support for high-speed running.

Rebel v3も愛用しており、10-15km程度のややスピードを上げた練習(インターバル走ではない)で良く使っています。前足部に小気味よい反発があり、軽量なために取り回しも良いです。ただ、高反発が得られるスイートスポットが狭いのが難点で、フルマラソンディスタンスでは後半厳しい印象でした。
v4は、v3の長所を全て引き継ぎ、懸案だったスイートスポットが広がり、安定性が大幅に増した印象です。従来の10-15kmのスピード練習に加え、ウルトラ等の超ロング走でも使える感じがします。早速、30km少々の峠走を走りましたが、登りは反発で登りやすく、下りの衝撃も踵のクッションで脚への負担が限定的でした。プレートシューズでレースを走るランナーでも、様々な練習シーンで使えると思います。なお、幅がやや広がった印象です。
