TOKYO DESIGN STUDIO New Balance
The New Balance MT10 is a minimalist trail running shoe designed to provide the right protection and traction for off-road running while providing a barefoot-like experience.
It is part of New Balance's Minimus line, which emphasizes minimal cushioning and a feeling close to the ground, emphasizing natural foot movements, and first appeared in 2011.
Created in response to a more natural running experience and a growing interest in technique, this model follows the trend of minimalist running shoes of the time. Tokyo Design Studio New Balance has updated the silhouette, material, color scheme, and details of the MT10 for the latest MT10 "MT10Tv1", which features a rounded and uniquely shaped lug outsole inspired by trail running and a rubber mudguard to create a stable base.
Combined with an unlined nubuck upper, the minimalist and sophisticated low-profile design has been reinterpreted in an advanced way. The midsole has minimal cushioning, but is firmer to provide a stable platform suitable for off-road running.
The outsole is designed with a focus on grip and durability. It features a protruding shape for traction on a variety of urban and natural grounds, and is made of Vivram rubber, which has excellent grip and durability. Uses the minimus exclusive last NL-1 last, which is made for the purpose of approaching the barefoot feeling. The oblique last with a widened toe area allows for natural toe expansion and movement.
