The brand continues its collaboration with Chicago-based creative director Joe Freshgoods and has released its latest model, the Aged Well 992.
The collection celebrates the five-year relationship between Joe Freshgoods and New Balance and showcases the impact the partnership has had on sneaker culture, resulting in 20 iconic footwear pieces.
The "Aged Well" 992 features aged coloring inspired by their first collaboration model, the "No Emotions Are Emotions" 992, giving the shoe a worn-in look.
The soft pink hue evokes the natural fading of the sneakers in the sunlight, symbolizing the long-standing relationship between New Balance and Joe Freshgoods, while the gradient design combines five different shades to represent the evolution of their collaboration.
"With this campaign and collection, I wanted to bring to life an incredible chapter in my life where I grew up.
"We wanted to capture our five-year relationship with New Balance, its ups and downs, and most importantly, the impact it has left on sneaker culture," said Joe Robinson, Founder and Creative Director of Joe Freshgoods.
The New Balance 992 is a commemorative model that was released in 2006, the brand's 100th anniversary.
Based on the specifications of the "991" released in 2001, the shock absorbing material "ABZORB" has been further evolved, and "ABZORB SBS", which provides excellent cushioning, has been adopted in the heel part of the midsole.
This is a premium collection made without compromise by skilled craftsmen and developed with the emphasis on Made in the USA.
